Hyperscaler Cloud Hosting (AWS, Azure)
Enterprise-grade SAP hosting on AWS, Azure, or hybrid environments.
The Migration Primer Service gives CTOs a clear-eyed view of their current landscape, a costed comparison of every migration path, and a target architecture on AWS or Azure, before a single workload moves.
ETZ Global combines deep SAP Basis experience with certified AWS and Azure architecture practice to plan and execute SAP moves end-to-end. Our Migration Primer Service produces a structured, costed view of your current landscape (workloads, integrations, custom code, infrastructure) and a target architecture on the hyperscaler that fits your performance, compliance, and budget envelope. Cutover plans, runbooks, and hyper-care are scoped before any technical work begins, so business operations carry on undisturbed while the platform underneath modernises.
A structured, time-boxed assessment that evaluates your existing SAP landscape, surfaces inefficiencies and risks, and produces a clear set of actionable recommendations. Designed as a low-risk first step before committing to a full S/4HANA or hyperscaler programme. You finish with a costed plan, not a sales pitch.
Detailed inventory of your SAP estate: modules, custom code (ABAP), interfaces, third-party add-ons, database size, and dependencies. We benchmark each workload against S/4HANA simplification items and hyperscaler reference architectures, so you know exactly what moves, what changes, and what retires.
Three-year TCO modelling across stay-on-ECC, lift-and-shift, brownfield conversion, and greenfield S/4HANA paths, each scenario sized on AWS, Azure, and hybrid. The output is a board-ready business case with risk-adjusted NPV, not a vendor-friendly spreadsheet.
Rehearsed cutover plans with hour-by-hour runbooks, fallback windows, and clear go/no-go gates. Hyper-care is delivered by the same Basis and functional consultants who designed the migration. There is no handover to an untested support desk in the first weeks after go-live.
ETZ Global is an AWS-credentialed SAP delivery partner. We architect SAP HANA and S/4HANA on EC2 High Memory and X-series instances, design VPCs and Transit Gateways for global SAP estates, and operate landscapes through AWS Launch Wizard and AWS Backint for HANA. Production-grade from the first workload.
Certified Azure architects design SAP on M-series and Mv2 VMs, integrate with Azure NetApp Files for HANA storage, and tie SAP identity into Entra ID. We deliver Azure landing zones aligned to the Cloud Adoption Framework so SAP sits inside a governed, observable, audit-ready environment from day one.
Not every workload belongs in the public cloud on day one. We design hybrid landscapes where regulated, latency-sensitive, or capital-locked workloads stay on-premise while non-production, integration, and analytics tiers move first. ExpressRoute, Direct Connect, and SAP Cloud Connector give a single operating model across both.
Hyperscalers do not automatically give you DR; the architecture has to be designed for it. We build cross-region replication for HANA System Replication, define RPO/RTO per workload tier, automate failover with infrastructure-as-code, and rehearse the switchover quarterly so the runbook is muscle memory, not paper.

FAQ Questions
Common questions about the Migration Primer, AWS and Azure deployment patterns, disaster recovery, and what happens to custom code on the way to S/4HANA.
Start a ConversationIt's a structured, time-boxed assessment that evaluates your existing SAP processes and infrastructure, identifies inefficiencies and migration risks, and produces a clear set of actionable recommendations. It's designed as a low-risk first step before committing to a full S/4HANA or hyperscaler migration programme. You finish with a costed plan that maps every workload to a target architecture.
We deliver SAP workloads on both Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure, and design hybrid landscapes that bridge the two with existing on-premise estates. Our architects hold SAP-on-AWS and SAP-on-Azure certifications, and our Basis team operates production HANA landscapes on both platforms today.
No. The Primer Service is deliberately neutral on target, the output is a costed comparison of stay-on-ECC, lift-and-shift to a hyperscaler, brownfield S/4HANA conversion, and greenfield S/4HANA implementation. You decide which path is right for the business; we simply make sure the choice is informed.
The Primer Service itself runs in four to eight weeks. Execution timelines vary considerably with landscape size, but a typical mid-market lift-and-shift to a hyperscaler completes within three to six months, and a brownfield S/4HANA conversion within nine to fifteen months, both with zero unplanned production downtime when the cutover is properly rehearsed.
Hyperscalers provide the building blocks, not the solution. DR has to be architected. We design cross-region replication for HANA System Replication, set explicit RPO and RTO targets per workload tier, automate failover with infrastructure-as-code, and rehearse the switchover quarterly. The runbook becomes muscle memory long before it is ever needed.
Both are inventoried up-front in the Landscape Readiness step. Custom ABAP is benchmarked against S/4HANA simplification items so you know what survives, what needs remediation, and what is better retired. Integrations are mapped to SAP Cloud Connector, BTP, or hyperscaler-native patterns as appropriate; nothing is left to discover during cutover.
